Born on April 27 in Lahore, Pakistan, Madiha Idrees is a contemporary visual artist known for her spiritually evocative paintings that explore the mystical essence of life through her unique technique. A painter deeply inspired by Sufi philosophy, Madiha’s work captures the symbolism of the derwaish—a whirling figure of devotion—interwoven with the infinite circles of life, and accentuated by calligraphic verses that enrich the soul of her canvas.
Madiha holds a Bachelor’s (2007–2011) and Master’s degree (2012–2013) in Fine Arts from the prestigious University of the Punjab, where she cultivated her artistic voice and began developing the signature style that sets her apart. Her technique is entirely self-created, a distinctive visual language that merges motion, mysticism, and meaning in vibrant color and flowing script.
Since completing her studies, Madiha has actively participated in numerous national and international group exhibitions. Her work has been showcased across Pakistan in Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi, and has also gained recognition abroad in cultural hubs like Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
